Recently, Tianqi volunteers gathered again and launched a new journey to develop water maps. We carefully observed the ecosystem within one kilometer from the factories and drew "water maps" accordingly. Our green footprints can be found in the surroundings of Chengdu Xinglong Lake Wetland Park, Shehong Luo Lake Park, Tianqi Zhangjiagang Production Base, and Tongliang Production Base. We believe that these water maps will help protect the environment and biodiversity and create a world where water is as blue as the azure sky.

Water Maps

Based on our investigation on the environment within one kilometer from the four places

During the event, volunteers of all ages immersed themselves in the beauty of nature, and more importantly, encouraged the public to live an eco-friendly life through multiple interactive activities. The vision of sustainable development could be felt throughout the event and more people put their hands on deck to create a better world.

Chengdu

In the workshops, participants spoke out about

their commitment to a greener planet

and their love for nature.

Shehong

Through a telescope,

you can see the world more closely,

and then, start to protect its beauty.

Zhangjiagang

By simply making small good deeds,

you can make your part for the splendor of nature.

Put the waste in this bin, and recyclables in that.

Garbage sorting is easy to perform.

Tongliang

Feel nature by listening to its sounds

and seeing its beauty in all different forms.

Let children naturally fall in love with and protect nature.

In addition to eco-friendly public welfare events, Tianqi has also made its factories greener and more garden-like.

-The “Coal to Gas" project at Shehong Production Base, Sichuan province has saved energy, reduced emissions, and alleviated the spillover effects on the surrounding environment. By now, it has saved more than 5,000 tons of standard coal and reduced more than 200 tons of nitrogen oxides and roughly 100 tons of sulfur dioxide emissions.

-The technology improvement project of battery-grade lithium carbonate at Zhangjiagang Production Base has helped recycle wastewater. In addition, the base has replaced traditional combustion energy with clean natural gas, reducing sulfur dioxide and dust emissions by nearly 100% and nitrogen oxide emissions by about 70%.

-The "Lithium Metal Automation Transformation" project at Tongliang Production Base, Chongqing is energy-saving and has made production safer and greener.

It is noteworthy that an EHS department has been set up in each of our production base to ensure a safe workplace free from injuries and incidents. The department is designed to ensure accountability and protection in all aspects, including safety, environmental protection, fire prevention, public welfare, and health.

As for how exactly Tianqi brings EHS to life, please stay tuned for the latest developments of the EHS Advocacy Week
