On May 15, 2021, the third course of the Second China Sustainable Development Senior Talent Training Program and the open day of Sichuan Key Laboratory of Lithium Resources and Lithium Materials took place at Chongqing Tianqi Lithium Co., Ltd. The events were organized and prepared by Tianqi Lithium Industry Social Responsibility Department and Chongqing Tianqi, a holding subsidiary of Tianqi Lithium Industry. The sponsor was Charity and Social Enterprise Research Center of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and Chengdu Charity Federation. A field visit and study with the theme of enterprise EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) was conducted.
During the activity, Chongqing Tianqi management team led the participants to understand the history of Tianqi lithium industry and visit the factory. During the lecture, Zhao Benchang, general manager of Chongqing Tianqi, combined the theory with actual safety production cases, made a presentation on "Making Safety a Habit" with the students, and introduced the risk management and control measures including gold safety rules, EHS warning lights, EHS one-point communication, emergency drills, noise control and other measures.
In the interactive session, the students had a productive exchange with Chongqing Tianqi management team on topics such as safety in production, occupational health, risk management, emergency rescue, and prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic on site. Near the end of the activity, the students expressed their gratitude to the management team of Chongqing Tianqi, and said that they had gained a lot. They praised Tianqi's responsibility concept of green development and its environmentally friendly corporate image.
Tianqi Lithium Industry Social Responsibility Department, Chongqing Tianqi, Sichuan Key Laboratory of Lithium Resources and Lithium Materials hope to continuously convey the production management concept of "making safety a habit" and the social responsibility concept of "safer, more environmentally friendly and more responsible" to the public through this themed activity.
